The Quinzaine radieuse returns to Piacé this summer from 18 June to 31 July 2022, with a return to its roots and a festive, joyous opening: concerts (DMC & Friends / Stanley Brinks & Freschard) and a bonfire at dusk by artist Séverine Hubard!
On the exhibition side, there are many works to discover and, as usual, a delicious mix of genres, with architecture of course, but also design, fashion and contemporary art. Disciplines meet, cross and even merge, breaking down all boundaries.
LincolnThe perfect illustration of this is the work that brings together artist Pascal Rivet and designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. Imagining a shelter for the 1/1-scale wooden sculpture of Pascal Rivet's Lincoln continentale, the Bouroullec brothers designed an architectural form made of ceramics, somewhere between a pavilion and a Majorette box. Inaugurated for the Quinzaine, this piece will become a permanent fixture on the Piacé art trail, which now boasts more than 45 works.
Another new piece to be discovered during this Fortnight: the Cabane Minimum by designer Olivier Vadrot. Last year, he showed us a model and instructions on how to build a hut in two days for two people! Today it's a life-size version that's on show!
More architecture, with a nod to Bernard Schoeller and his Tournesol swimming pool, a tile from which will be presented (in collaboration with Julien Recours), all documented by postcards by David Liaudet.
Then a poetic gesture by the "anarchitect" Gianni Pettena (Salle Principale gallery) on the Moulin de Blaireau building...
Finally, fashion and contemporary art will not be left out, with the inauguration of the Andrea Crews shop/workshop right in the heart of the village and an exhibition of works by Frédérique Petit, Alain Séchas (FRAC Normandie) and Jean-Marie Appriou...
Happy Fortnight! May it shine...
