The Radiant Fortnight 12

Initially scheduled for June/July, uncertain for a long time and then postponed because of Covid19, this 12^th takes place from 19 September to 18 October 2020.

The public will be able to see 36 works and installations in the village and surrounding countryside, including 5 new pieces Inaugurated on this occasion: "Grotte de nez" by Jean Bonichon, "La Rampe" by Claude Parent, "Joli Turbin" by Séverine Hubard, "La Route d'or" by Jean-Baptiste Sauvage and "May cerclé et May souple de Lejaby" by Thomas Mailaender. Two new pieces are currently being installed: "Complex figures 1 & 2" by Bevis Martin and Charlie Youle, and "Piacé>Paris>Brest" by Pascal Rivet and Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. As well as inaugurating the new pieces in the exhibition, this year's show also brings together different artistic worlds, starting with the encounter between the plastic of a Bulle Six Coques (J-B Maneval) and the crystal of Karinn Helbert's Cristal Baschet at the opening concert of the Quinzaine Radieuse. Through a group show held on different sites, other correspondences between artists (Liaudet/Parent, Rivet/Bouroullec, Bourgeat/Vuillemin etc.) or between artists' works, are established in a light and spontaneous way.

From special editions A silkscreen by Alexios Tjoyas and a multiple by Stéphane Vigny, Miss O'Clock 3, complete the catalogue of editions held by Piacé le radieux since its creation to support the dissemination and promotion of contemporary art. Visit vernissage of the Quinzaine radieuse is scheduled for Saturday 19 September, with (subject to new health measures) a guided tour of the new rooms in the exhibition and a concert by Karinn Helbert (Cristal Baschet) accompanied by Manuel Decocq on violin.

The Quinzaine radieuse concludes with the Journées nationales de l'architecture and a meeting with David Liaudet on the work of Claude Parent, on the weekend of 17 & 18 October.
