CATALOGUE: AN IMAGINARY MUSIC LABEL

Catalogue, Bill Miror

Capsule radieuse - CATALOGUE: A LABEL OF IMAGINARY MUSIC

Exhibition from 30 September to 15 October 2017

Pique the radiant is inviting visual artist and musician Etienne Charry from 30 September to 15 October 2017. He will be presenting the productions of Catalogue, his imaginary music label within which he holds the positions of director, press officer, graphic designer, composer, performer, sound engineer, additional musician, coach, manager, stylist, roadie, courier, driver, switchboard operator, trainee etc. Far from the constraints of the record industry, Etienne Charry is inventing a new way of making music today. By setting up his own label, Catalogue, he has opened up a formidable field of experimentation and creation that goes far beyond music alone. It's a giant tableau in perpetual motion, combining music, lyrics, still and animated graphic images, sets, costumes, invented or real musical instruments, scenic devices, performances and more. And while the artists on this label are imaginary, their music and the images that accompany it are very real. This is demonstrated by the exhibition devoted to the different facets of Catalogue's creation and the day on 30 September when the label's artists will come to life on stage.
