Joël Auxenfans (extract from the catalogue Les Haies, Ecomusée du Perche) Joël Auxenfans was born in 1962 and lives and works in the south of the Hauts-de-Seine. He has made a name for himself with large-scale works (including plants) that are always determined by a purely artistic intention, while remaining at the very limits of the work of a landscape gardener: a project on the edge of the landscape between painting and nature. For the last ten years or so, he has been painting representations of the political and public spheres.
