Anita Molinero's "Rendez-vous" is a meeting point in a suburban area of the city, with references to cinema and science fiction. The artist refers to it as an SMS sculpture...

"Anita Molinero favours the energy of gesture and improvisation, while constantly returning to the fundamentals of sculpture: weight and mass, fullness and emptiness, the base, volume and so on. Composing her first sculptures with salvaged objects and materials, she later chose to bring to her forms the power of the irreversibility of gesture. She uses plastic and a range of toxic materials that she cuts, burns, lacerates and sculpts. The artist works with the heterogeneous elements of everyday life, using flame-throwers to attack containers, boxes, toys and car headlights. Under the action of high temperatures, the elements are transformed into a variety of shapes. Bubbles and blisters, crystallisation effects, gaps and laces appear on the brightly coloured surfaces.
