I probably needed some sunshine when I came up with this title, and rather than a horizontal journey, this is a mental drilling in which I delve into time by cancelling it out, to choose pieces that have been made that respond to others in progress. Objects" whose structure can be read in all sizes, from the thing that fits in your hand to the thing you walk into, a crossroads of meanings like a visible equation. A journey that's environmentally friendly, kerosene-free and, of course, full of contradictions! O.L.

After training as a forester in Corrèze, Olivier Leroi studied at the Institut des hautes études en arts plastiques under Pontus Hulten. He has developed a body of work in drawing and sculpture whose common thread is the relationship with the environment. The work emerges from an exchange that it crystallises, it is inserted into a materiality that it probes and amplifies. Based on the economy of gesture and a refined observation that plays with scale, it is akin to an operation to unveil reality in its sensitive, cognitive and emotional dimensions.
