Piacé le radieux invites you to the inauguration of its new exhibition space: the KUB d'OR on Sunday 28 March 2021 from 11am to 5.30pm. The current projects with Joël Auxenfans will be presented: Le Verger du Troisième Paradis and Les Haies.
Pieces by the same artist will be displayed alongside graphic works by Chloé Quenum.

GOLDEN KUB

Named by François Curlet, the KUB d'OR of course evokes the famous White Cube, the exhibition space par excellence for galleries and art centres. But here the White has become Gold, the colour of the road on which it is located: La Route d'Or (D338 former Calais-Bayonne road). L'Or is also the café opposite, now the café du Fontenoyformerly known as La Boule d'Or. With a floor area of 100 m² and an outdoor garden, the Kub d'Or will be a space for experimentation and exhibitions. A place for exchanges and bartering, a documentation centre, a creative space, etc., it will be able to take on different facets over time and will be open to the outside world.

JOEL AUXENFANS

Joël Auxenfans has made a name for himself with his large-scale works (including plants), which are always determined by a purely artistic intention, while remaining at the limits of his work as a landscape gardener: a project on the edge of the landscape between painting and nature. He took part in the group exhibition Archinature at Piacé le radieux and one of his pieces is on the Piacé art trail: flag French is the fabric of migration floating above one of the Six Coques Bubbles.
It is currently running two participatory projects to support biodiversity on our site:
Le Verger du Troisième Paradisplanting of 62 fruit trees in collaboration with Cittadellarte-fondazione Pistoletto
Les Haiesa 60 m long biodiverse hedge artefact in collaboration with the apprentice training centre La Germinière (Rouillon)

CHLOE QUENUM

In her artistic work, Chloé Quenum draws on a wide range of fields of research (history, economics, social sciences and botany, for example). She makes objects and forms her own by transforming them into signs, diverting their use and changing the context in which they are read. By making these changes, she creates new narratives in which different cultures and eras meet and mingle.
