Joli turbin, Séverine Hubard, 2012-2020

Metal pipes, stainless steel, aluminium, zinc, cast iron, PVC, gas cylinders, cardboard, polyurethane foam, chemical welding

The act of building is central to Séverine Hubard's practice. Assemblages of discarded materials or materials gleaned from companies make up an installation made up of sculptures of resin pipes, metal, PVC, gas cylinders, etc., all elements present in our everyday visual field. The shapes, textures and colours are carefully chosen and then organised vertically and horizontally to create a space where anyone can wander. Initially created in Saint-Nazaire, the work will be revisited in spring 2020 for its presentation in Le Mans (Les Quinconces) as part of the Route d'or, an exhibition programme devised by Les Quinconces-L'espal and Piacé le radieux. It will be redesigned for its definitive arrival in Piacé in the summer of 2020!
