Archive bay, Le Corbusier, 1954

Through the intermediary of Catherine Coley, an architectural historian, and Jean Masson, a former collaborator of Jean Prouvé, the association has recovered a bay window from the "Le Corbusier / Prouvé" building on the Doncourt-lès-Conflans airfield. Le Corbusier and Jean Prouvé had designed a building consisting of two one-piece shells based on a construction principle developed by Jean Prouvé. Construction took place between 1953 and 1954. The building, which has now been renovated, was included in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments by order of 12 April 1999. This Modulor archive bay, shown here in Piacé, has been partially restored.
